ThinkSmart and AWS Launch the SMEs Cloud Skilling Initiative in Bahrain

ThinkSmart and AWS, in partnership with the Bahrain Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism have launched a very special Cloud Skilling Initiative for Bahraini Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in a highly engaging event in Bahrain.

The event was attended by hundreds of Bahrain SMEs and hosted opening speeches from H.E. Dr Khaled Fahad Alalawi, Assistant Undersecretary of Industrial Development, Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism and from H.E. Mr Ahmed Sabah Salman AlSaloom, Executive Committee Member, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and the Chairman of the Bahrain Development SMEs Society. This was followed by Keynote speeches from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Project Introduction by ThinkSmart CEO Mr Ahmed AlHujairy, and also had customer success stories from Homiez and Libra IT Solutions.

Many of the attending SMEs registered for the program and will be attending the first session of cloud awareness with ThinkSmart, to start their cloud journey.

The initiative will provide eligible 2,000 SMEs with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud skills training to help them become more innovative and grow at a faster rate. This initiative is aligned with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s 2030 Vision and its Cloud First Policy and aims to skill thousands of Bahraini SMEs in the next three years and help them stay ahead in the digital economy.

At the helm of this initiative is ThinkSmart, a leading IT training provider with over two decades of training experience in the Kingdom. As an AWS training partner, ThinkSmart will work with training delegates to evaluate their skill gaps, build a customized learning journey, and provide a comprehensive cloud training and consultancy strategy. Participants SMEs will also have access to a very special pre and post-sales cloud consultancy from ThinkSmart. The program’s curriculum will cover the basics of the AWS Cloud and move to more advanced courses that will prepare participants for achieving world-recognized AWS Certifications. For Bahraini citizens, costs for certification exams will be covered by Tamkeen’s Individual Development Program.
